Bridge Results – By The Numbers…

2/1/19 – 2/10/19

Coming off a strong January and heading into a short month in February, we hope players take the opportunity to play often and even try out a new partnership or two.  There are amazing players out there just waiting to meet you and play together!   Please welcome new players and help them get into a game or tourney – we appreciate your support.

Look for a new release on OKlive (alpha v1.03) in the coming days.  You do not need to download any software and you can experience it yourself by logging into OKbridge.com and selecting ‘Play OKlive Now’ from the top of you member home page.     Now on to the good stuff…

Bridge Results – ACBL Masterpoint Tournaments

6,446 pairs competed in 322 ACBL Masterpoint tournaments playing 1,416 boards so far in the month of February.  How does this measure up?  Our strongest activity continues to be the minis (12 boards) where 5,954 pairs competed in 99 MP tournaments while 492 pairs competed in 19 combo tournaments (24 boards).  Check out our daily tournament schedule on the OKbridge web site or your OKbridge members portal.

Bridge Results – ACBL Leaderboards

Grand43 holds the lead as we reach the February midpoint at 34.23 with Euposso off the lead by less than a half a masterpoint at 33.76.   Danb holds the 3rd position with 30.72 masterpoints with Cathycat and Ondrwyzr rounding out the top five with 28.94 and 26.96 masterpoints, respectfully. Tunafish holds sixth position with Ronm, Janinew, Judylee, and Stephenf filling out the rest of the Top 10.   Most noteworthy is having both a C strat and B strat player breaking into the Top 10 this month (congrats Judylee and Stephenf!).

Visit the ACBL leaderboards in the OKbridge members portal for a complete list including last month,  year to date, and more.

Tournament Satisfaction

ACBL tournament satisfaction at the midpoint is 60% with Canooz receiving 100%, Noodle 66%, and Starkist 20% satisfaction rating.  58% satisfaction is attributed to ‘Can’t remember’ on the survey.  Our goal is a baseline of 80% for the month.  We appreciate receiving your survey results – keep them coming and we will keep working on improving!

Bridge Results – Player Performance Rating

OKbridge’ comprehensive player performance rating system is the Lehman Rating (for both MP and IMP).  Rated tables (competitive) are factored into player’s performance rating (Lehman Rating).  Consequently, unrated (social) tables have no impact on the Lehman Player Rating.

Go to the FAQs (Lehman Rating System) on the OKbridge members portal for more information on our player rating system and how it is calculated.

Bridge Results – Table Crash Stats

Overall:

Crashed tables:     148

Skipped tables:     154

Score requests:       66

Review requests:     11

Table Crash Stats (Pending Boards):

148 tables crashed to date in February.  While there are a number of reasons why a table crash might occur, an area we are particularly concerned with is those leaving the table during the game play and table servers who intentionally close a table during game play.  Four players rank ‘above average’ abuse registering 28 boards crashed where they are the offending party.  Consequently, these four players comprise 12% of the total table crashes.  At the mid point of the month, we do not have any players who rank ‘high’ or ‘extreme’ and that is great news and good progress towards our goal of eliminating intentional table crashes.

Please notify the table in advance and always finish a board before closing the table or leaving your seat.  It is never acceptable to intentionally close or leave a table during the game play.

We received and adjudicated 66 pending boards.  If you are a victim of a crashed table (resulting in a pending board), please go to Pending Boards in the OKbridge members portal and request a score.  Our process includes an escalation to a certified director who reviews the pending board and scores the board as if it is played to completion.  This is a great opportunity to get redress but there is a limited time-frame to request a review (72 hours).

Completed Board Score Reviews:

We received and adjudicated 11 score reviews on completed boards.  If you played a board to completion but would like the score reviewed, please go to your Completed Boards in the OKbridge members portal and submit your request.  There is an automated process with escalation to a certified director to review the board as needed.  Similar to the process for uncompleted (pending) boards, there is a limited time to request a review of 72 hours.

Finally, there are no pending board or score review requests outstanding as of 2/10.
